Dive Against Debris

Ocean Encounters organized a Dive Against Debris event to clean the Hyatt & Santa Barbara Pier underwater area.
The Ocean Encounters Hyatt Team invited OE staff from other locations and customers to perform the underwater clean up.

Staff, family, & friends who are certified divers were invited to participate as well. Non-divers helped by picking up the bags brought up from the bottom and separating the stuff into rubbish and recyclables.

Our volunteers filled ten 20 gallon trash bins with rubbish left by local boating enthusiasts and visiting Yachties.

A big thanks to all of our volunteers, and the Hyatt for providing refreshments.
